We've built a LOT of demos. Not once have we opened one by telling the buyer they could leave.
Litify does.
Open their product tour and the very first step asks: "Want to skip to the good stuff? Already tired of clicking? Sit back and relax during a personalized demo with one of our experts." Then two buttons: Get a demo, or Continue the tour.
Jason's first reaction was "I haven't seen this yet." Neither had I.
Some of the people who land on a tour page already know they want to talk to sales. Most demos make them click through every step to find that button. Litify catches them on step one and lets everyone else keep exploring. Nobody gets pushed either way.
Remember SimplePractice opening their tours with a question back in Edition #58? Litify opens with two. Theirs just point at a person instead of the product.
A while back we gave SourceWhale a lot of love for keeping their demo center simple. No fancy nav, no three different ways to filter. We still mean it.
Cvent's Interactive Demo Library is the exception. They have a LOT of demos, and you can slice them three ways: by platform, by audience, and by individual solution.
On a platform this big, each filter is a different door. Some buyers show up knowing the product they want. Some only know who they are. Some just know the one problem they want to solve. Cvent lets all three find their demo without scrolling the whole library.
So here's the rule we'd give you. If someone can scan your demo center in 10 seconds, skip the filters. If they can't, give them more than one way in.
What do you expect to see when you hear the demo is βgated?β Probably a demo with a little form box floating on top of it.
Levellr skips the box completely. They have CTAs to their demo center all over levellr.com. Click any of them and the form takes up the whole page. Everything is full width, with a plain on-brand background and no demo peeking out behind it.
It looks like you're about to log into the product instead of a lead form. (It's built in Navattic, if you're wondering)
Jason's still on the fence about this one. Thereβs two sides to the coin:
It works because a login screen says "you're in" instead of βstop, who goes there?β
It might not work because you get nothing to look at before you hand over your email
Either way, it's different and we like different. Haven't seen anyone else use the full page like this.
Been thinking about integrating your marketing tools with Navattic, but feeling overwhelmed with how everything works?
They just made a number of UI updates that make setting up and managing your integrations WAY easier.
1οΈβ£ A Playbook builder that reads like a sentence
Navattic's playbook builder now offers an intuitive When β Then layout, making it much easier to setup automations between Navattic and tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, and Slack.
2οΈβ£ Playbook health at a glance
You can now create Playbooks directly from each individual integration page. Your integration pages will not only show you every Playbook related to that integration, but also flag ones that are broken or stale. So you can easily stay on top of integrations that aren't firing.
Watch the tour below to get all the details, and reach out to your Navattic CSM if you have any questions.
