For our 15th episode, we're doing something special.
Instead of our usual three tips from different companies, we're taking a deep dive into what the best demo center on planet earth.
βClose just launched their new interactive demo site, and honestly? I almost cried when I saw it. (No, really.)
Let's get after it...

Tip #1 - First Impressions Should Stop You Cold
The moment you land on Close's Demo Site, you know you're not getting the usual corporate experience.
They've created this intense, high-contrast construction site silhouette against a sunset backdrop, with a digital "NOW ENTERING" sign that makes you feel like you're pulling up to an actual job site.
It's the perfect visual metaphor for what they do (construction software), but executed in a way that feels the exact opposite of cheesy.
What's working here:
- They've created a mood and feeling before you click a single thing
- The contrast between the dark silhouette and amber sky is simply arresting
- The digital "NOW ENTERING" sign creates anticipation
As soon as I saw this, I knew my Demo Arena at Klue is now yesterday's news.

Tip #2 - Give Your Center Some Personality
You know how most demo centers are called, well, "Demo Center"? (so lame)
Close named theirs the "Demo Site" β a brilliant play on "construction site" that instantly connects to their industry.
But they didn't stop there. Their subhead reads "Test drive Close - no hardhat required," and their navigation asks you to "CHOOSE YOUR LANE" with actual road sign graphics for each persona.
Umm...pinch me because:
- This was a fully customized page from the start
- It shows they want to connect with their ICP
- Exploring their product now feels like an adventure
Every element of personality ties directly back to their construction industry focus.
β
Tip #3 - Organization is Everything
Let's be honest β a lot of demo centers we see are a mess. You land on them and think "Where do I even start?"
Close made their Demo Site both visually clean and organized. They've created clear pathways for different personas (Founders, Sales Managers, Sales Reps, etc.) and separate sections for specific use cases.
The result is a navigation system where you can either:
- Self-identify with a role if you know who you are
- Browse by capability if you're not sure where to start
I've seen so many demo centers that either overwhelm you with options or oversimplify to the point of uselessness. Close found that perfect middle ground.
