Tip #1 - Put Product Demos…in Your Product
Let's start withs something brilliant. We caught a view of Remote’s app and they stuck a demo library right inside their in-app help widget.
Think about it: when users are confused or stuck, they click the help button. Instead of just getting boring documentation, now they can jump into an actual demo that shows them how to do the thing they're trying to figure out.
It’s another great use case for demos because:
- They can be used for adoption, not just acquisition
- It turns "I'm confused" into "oh, that's how it works"
Remember Kore adding demos to their help docs back in Edition #16? Both of these companies are treating demos like more than just a marketing asset that lives on the homepage.
Tip #2 - Turn Blog Posts Into Product Tours
6sense is bringing Show, Don’t Tell into their blog posts.
They wrote this piece about where key intent data lives in their platform. Then, before jumping into detail they said "take an interactive product tour to see where key intent data resides in 6sense!”
Boom. Instead of just telling you about features, they let you experience them before reading more.
Jason and I love this approach because:
- Readers can see exactly what you're describing before you describe it
- Your blog becomes a sales asset, not just SEO content
In Episode 9, we showed Paystand using demos as blog CTAs. 6sense takes that idea but frontloads the demo directly into the educational content instead of just tacking it on at the end.

Tip #3 - Embeds That Don't Stick Out Like Sore Thumbs
Every once in a while…you get reminded that the little things really do matter.
Ever notice how 99% of demo embeds feel foreign? They basically scream "I'm a third-party widget."
Wiz must have realized this and created a custom embed. The gorgeous blue border, pink drop shadow, and unique shape makes their demo feel like it's part of their website.
Here’s why it’s worth the extra effort:
- The attention to detail carries over to your perception of the product
- It maintains brand consistency instead of a harsh break in visuals
- Makes the website feel premium instead of plugged-in-play
This isn’t the first time we’ve talked about the aesthetics of your demos…and it won’t be the last.

Make every screen look like it was captured today! 🗓️
You want your interactive demo to feel current, right? With everything fresh, like you just captured it yesterday?
But that's hard when you have dashboards with last year's date on them! 😬
Not anymore!
Navattic's "AI Up-to-date" feature will automatically detect date fields in your captures and keep them up-to-date for you.
So that capture you grabbed last May will always look like it was captured today 🗓️
Try it out now!
- Click "Edit" on any screen capture
- then "Magic Editors"
- then "Up-to-date"
