Tip #1 - Who Needs Value Props When You Have Demos?
Coolset said "we don’t need value prop sections" and built something way cooler – a mini demo library right on their homepage.
Instead of saying “let’s talk about this,” they're like "check this out."
This homepage takeover works because:
- You get to experience their solutions instead of reading about them
- No more guessing what "increased efficiency" actually means
- It's way more engaging than scrolling past marketing copy
Most companies are still debating whether to put one demo link in their nav. Coolset made their whole homepage a demo playground.

Tip #2 - Make Them Feel Special for Giving You Their Info
"We are preparing a demo environment for you..."
A small tweak to the usual “give us your name or you can’t see our product” feeling, right?
Instawork's does a great job of making it sound like they're building something custom just for you. Suddenly giving them your name feels like the key to something cool, instead of the trigger for them to send you nurture emails.
Jason and I like this because:
- It makes the form feel like part of the experience, not a barrier to it
- We feel a sense of anticipation instead of resistance
It’s like Genetec's "let's get you signed in" trick back in Edition #20. We’re seeing more of this where data collection feels like a service instead of a trap.
PRO TIP: Try throwing in a loading GIF or something to really sell the "we're preparing this for you" vibe.

Tip #3 - Put Tour CTAs Everywhere
Levellr is doing something 99% of companies don’t even try. If you go to their homepage, you’ll see what we’re talking about.
Their primary CTA is a tour, sure, but as you scroll through their value prop sections, boom – more tour buttons. It's like they're saying "convinced yet? No? How about now?"
I did this at Klue for Win-Loss and loved it because:
- It gives your prospects a chance to dig deeper at each stop
- You’re letting them test drive and experience what they just read about
Most companies act like one CTA at the top is enough. Levellr understands that interest happens gradually, so they meet people where they are.
→ Follow the trail of tour breadcrumbs
Make every screen look like it was captured today! 🗓️
You want your interactive demo to feel current, right? With everything fresh, like you just captured it yesterday?
But that's hard when you have dashboards with last year's date on them! 😬
Not anymore!
Navattic's "AI Up-to-date" feature will automatically detect date fields in your captures and keep them up-to-date for you.
So that capture you grabbed last May will always look like it was captured today 🗓️
Try it out now!
- Click "Edit" on any screen capture
