Tip #1 - Don't Overwhelm Your Audience
Ever feel like you're overwhelming prospects with too many demo options? GoCo found a clever solution that had us saying "well played."
At first glance, their navigation shows just 4 tours. But as you scroll through to what appears to be the "3rd" tour, an invisible navigation suddenly appears, splitting that tour into two.
This hide-and-seek approach is genius because it:
- Keeps the initial experience simple and approachable
- Reveals more depth exactly when prospects are most engaged
- Prevents choice paralysis while still offering the full product experience
Remember last week when we talked about not burying your demos?

Tip #2 - Own Your Real Estate
Last week, we praised Unitus AI for putting their demo above the fold. Well, OrgaNice just said, "hold my beer."
Their homepage doesn't just feature the demo above the fold...it gives nearly half of it to the interactive demo.
To do that, they've eliminated extra white space from their hero section and added the demo in full width. It makes the demo impossible to miss.
In my opinion, someone at OrgaNice said "Our product is so good, we're letting it do the talking."
Our advice: If your product is awesome (which it should be), don't waste that prime real estate on brand content. Give your demo the spotlight it deserves.

#3 - Your Demos Should Be Sexy
Jason and I both believe that demos should look great. Well... Storyblok just took that concept to another level.
Their demo opens with a mesmerizing animation of Earth spinning in outer space. It's not just eye-catching, it's sexy. And why does that matter?
This demo is often a prospect's first real interaction with your product. Just like you wouldn't show up to a first date in sweatpants (we hope), your demo instance deserves to look its absolute best.
This isn't just about being pretty β it's about showing an experience that prospects aspire to recreate in your product. Storyblok reminded us that with a little creativity, you can turn a standard product tour into a showstopper.

Did you know 71.2% of the top interactive demos are UNGATED?
---
We know it's tempting to gate demos as a way to drive leads. But is it the best experience for your buyers?
According to Navattic's State of The Interactive Demo Report β 71.8% of the top interactive demos are ungated. They also have a 10% higher engagement rate.
But we get it, the decision to gate your demos is sometimes out of your control. In this case, consider things like:
- Using cookies to ungate demos for known contacts
- Placing your gate part-way through your demo
- Offering additional resources in return
If you want to see what else the 1% of interactive demo builders are doing, check out the full report. β
